Fishing Forecast

FRESHWATER: Bluegills, shellcrackers, black mullet and a few crappie can be caught from the seawalls around Lake Monroe. Find vegetation and fish with redworms or crickets for bluegills and shellcrackers. Locate the big pods of mullet and use redworms. Crappie will hit minnows or small jigs.

SALTWATER: Fish in 40-80 feet out of Port Canaveral for king mackerel, cobia and tripletail. Troll spoons and pogies near bait pods for kings and cobia. Plan on catching plenty of sharks and barracuda also. If you spot big patches of grass or anything floating or turtles on the surface, fish near them for cobia and tripletail.
